Sowerbutt's Protection

Sowerbutt's thoughts went back to the Battle of Cable Street in 1936 when a big Blackshirt march had been banned, then attacked by Red gangs. He and his I-Squad security section had ringed Jack Shakes’ shop; the Reds not prepared to take on Sowerbutt’s cosh and his fists. Not a single window was broken.
